Join us in this workshop and have your say in our application to the National Lottery Heritage Fund. Everyone welcome!

In the next steps of our project development, we would now like to invite you to join us in a community workshop. This will be held in WWT Castle Espie, Ballydrain Road, Comber on Tuesday 16th December 2025, 6 – 8pm.

We are continuing to develop a new project for the Strangford and Lecale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), with support from the National Lottery Heritage Fund. This project, called Strangford and Lecale Landscape Connections, aims to restore and celebrate our landscapes, nature, and heritage, with local people and communities at its heart.

Come along and meet the project team, with representation from Ards and North Down Borough Council, Newry, Mourne and Down District Council and Ulster Wildlife.; learn more about the exciting opportunities this proposed project aims to bring to nature, heritage and communities across Strangford and Lecale; and actively participate in shaping this project by sharing your ideas and priorities.

If you haven’t already done so please take a few minutes to fill in the community survey.
