Celebrate National Nestbox Week with the AONB & Geopark team

Get hands-on with nature and join us for a family-friendly Nestbox Building Workshop in the beautiful surroundings of Delamont Country Park. It’s the perfect way to celebrate National Nestbox Week, February 14th to 21st, while doing something practical to help our local birds thrive.

What’s happening?

• Build your very own bird nest box
• Learn why nest boxes are so important for wildlife
• Take your finished nest box home to install in your garden or local area, one nestbox per family booking.

Who’s it for?
Everyone! This relaxed, welcoming workshop is ideal for families, beginners, and anyone who loves nature. All materials are provided, and friendly members of the Heart of Down Red Squirrel Group, will be on hand to guide you every step of the way.

Booking info
✔️ Free to book – we have 4 time slot options for half-hour workshop sessions available, 11am to 12.30pm. Please see form below for more information.
✔️ Free to participate
Spaces are limited, so booking is essential. Sessions will last approximately 20 minutes and be suitable to book as a family (one nest box per family). We have space for 5 families per workshop.

All children must be supervised by an accompanying adult.

Your booking will be confirmed via email by a member of the AONB & Geopark team. Bookings will be taken on a first come first served basis.
