Practical Conservation Volunteers

Are you looking to get your hands dirty? Practical conservation volunteering has many benefits for both you and the wildlife in the local area.

How to get involved

Practical Conservation Volunteers meet regularly throughout the district participating in activities such as scrub clearance, litter picks, hedge laying and dry stone walling. More details of tasks can be found in the role profile found on the general volunteering page.

Training opportunities are available to our volunteers who want to broaden their skill set.

If you are interested in taking part fill in the expression of interest form https://strangfordlough.org/how-to-help/volunteer-with-us/ and you will be made aware of current opportunities.
